Obtaining a passport in Bangladesh involves following the guidelines set by the Bangladesh Immigration and Passport Directorate. The essential documents required primarily include a national identity card or a birth registration certificate. Additionally, a citizenship certificate and a professional certificate may be necessary. For minors, the national identity cards of both parents are required, along with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or a Government Order (GO) for government employees.

As proof of profession for professionals such as doctors, engineers, accountants, and lawyers, a copy of the certificate or ID card must be submitted.
