Conditions For Becoming a New Voter Application
A new National Identity Card must meet certain conditions. The voter must be eligible to fill out the application form.
To become a new voter, one must be a Bangladeshi citizen, at least 16 years of age, and without a national identification card. It may be confusing to some to hear 16 years here, but you can apply online for NID cards at sixteen and download the pdfs.
SIM cards cannot be registered before the age of 18. Your name will not appear on the electoral roll, so you cannot vote during the election. You will be able to do everything when you turn 18.
Rules for Becoming a New Voter in Bangladesh
There are two ways for Bangladeshis to obtain a new voter identification card or national ID card.
A few years ago, it was necessary to visit the upazila election office to register as a voter and apply for the national identity card. The government conducts a new voter registration campaign every 5 years.
Our main topic today is how to apply online to become a new voter. Using your home computer, you can get your voter ID card.
Application to Become a New Voter Online
To apply online, you must register an account at services.nidw.gov.bd. The account registration page can be found at services.nidw.gov.bd. Enter your name, date of birth, and captcha and click “Submit”.
Step 1: NID Account Registration
Online voter registration begins with registering an account at services.nidw.gov.bd. You can go directly to the application form by going to the account registration page. Simply fill out the application form with your name, date of birth, and captcha, then click the “Continue” button. Registration of a new account.
Your account will need to be verified with an active number. You will later be notified through SMS of various changes to your national identification card or voter identification card. You will receive the Otip when you log in to your NID account later.
Mobile number verification
You will be asked to enter a Bangladesh mobile number in the next step. A 6-digit OTP will be sent to the mobile number once the number is entered and the send message button is pressed. Verification of mobile number
A Resend button can be pressed if you don’t receive the OTP the first time. Errors on the server or network may sometimes delay messages.
Enter the six-digit verification code into the OTP field and click the button. A new page will appear after submitting the correct OTP.
Please Choose Your Username and Password
Your account will require a Username and Password the next time you access it. Usernames should be unique. Your username and password will be required to access your account and modify the ID card download in the future.
A username must have at least eight digits. Your username can be made up of both English letters and numbers. Change your username to unique if it shows Username Already Exists.
Note: Make a note of your username and password somewhere. Next time, you must use this username and password to download your ID card.
Step 2: Complete the Profile With Personal Information
Log in with your Username and Password to register as a new voter. A dashboard will appear if there is a login.
Personal information
Click on the edit button to submit your profile on NID Server. At first, there will be no write option available for the fields. All fields will be available when you click edit.
As part of the personal information submission process, you need to select your Name (Bangla), English Name (which will be generated automatically), Gender, Blood Group Birth Registration Number, Date of Birth (which will be generated automatically) and Place of Birth.
It is not possible to change the English name and date of birth provided during account creation.
When creating an account, if your English name or date of birth was incorrect, please cancel it and create a new account with the correct information.
Father’s Information
As soon as you fill out your information, you will be asked for the information of your father. We should now give the name and NID number of the father (in Bengali and English). You can provide the voter number of your father if you wish, but it is not required.
A death certificate for a deceased father should include the information of the father along with a tick mark. All fields marked with red (*) must be filled.
Mother’s Information
It is also necessary to fill out the information for the mother. For parent information, Bengali and English names are required. Voter registration and NID numbers are optional. It is better to keep the NID Card number. If dead, write the year of death.

The form should be filled out with the information of the parents in this manner. National Identity Cards cannot be mistakenly applied for. To correct a mistake on the ID card, a voter ID correction application must be filled out for the hassle and time involved.
Parent Information
Please provide the information about your parents. Generally, guardianship information should be provided by either the father or mother. You can also inspire someone else. Specify your guardian’s name and National Identity Card number.
Next, there will be a field for information about elder brothers and sisters. It is optional to fill out this field. You are welcome to give if you wish. You can leave it blank if you wish.
Marital Status
Select Single from the drop-down menu if you are single. If you are unmarried, no further information is needed. Where can I get it?
If you are married, you must mention the name of your spouse. You can provide the information of more than one wife if you have more than one. A death certificate should be written if the wife has passed away.
After recording the information, check to see if any errors have been made. Press the next button if everything is correct.
Step 3. Other information
Other information fields include Educational Qualification, Occupation, and Religion. Physical disabilities should be selected in the disability room if the applicant has any.
You should enter your educational qualification in the box. If there is a physical disability, it should be mentioned. Write the details of your birthmark if you want it. In order to complete this step, the required information must be provided.
Step 4: Provide Your Address
Please provide your current and permanent addresses. It is important to take this step seriously. Choosing a country of residence is the first step. We will choose Bangladesh as our country of residence since we are applying from Bangladesh.
Selecting the voter’s address is crucial. Specify the address where you desire to vote as your voter address if you have a different address at present and your permanent address.
It is your responsibility to select a valid voter address so that your name appears on the voter list. During elections, you can vote at this address.
Current Address
Change your current address to your current address. You can provide your permanent address instead of your current address if you wish. It is fine if the current address and the permanent address are the same.
Please select the union, district, division, upazila and district based on your current address if it differs from his permanent address.
If you click on the house of marriage, all the departments of Bangladesh will appear. Depending on your address, you will select your category. Once you click on the district, you will see the district of your division. Select your district. Choose your address from the drop-down menu this way.
Permanent Address
As before, enter your permanent address information. The following steps can be followed when choosing the address.
Please fill out this form with your permanent address details. Verify the voter details carefully after you have filled out all the information. On the top right side, click the next button if all are checked.
For new voter applications, there is no need to upload any documents online. Please submit all documents to the election commission office. I will skip this step and move on to the next.
Step 5: Submit an New Voter Application
To submit your application, click the submit button. After confirming your application is complete, you need to submit your final submission.
You can go back to the previous step if you think you made a mistake. Once you have corrected your information, resubmit your application.
Step 6. Download the Application Copy
After submitting your new voter application online, a button will appear to download the application summary or voter application copy. Click the download button to obtain the document.
Print this application copy and submit it to your local election commission office along with the necessary documents. This includes the voter application copy and all required documents for issuing a new ID card at the Upazila Election Office.
After submitting your application, it will be verified by the Upazila or District Election Office. If everything is in order, you will be contacted to provide biometric information, including a photograph and fingerprints. Within 10 to 15 days of submitting your biometric data, your application will be approved, and you can download your National Identity Card online.
Application for a New ID Card at the Election Office
For those who find it difficult to apply for a new national identity card online, you can apply for a new voter ID card directly at the election commission.
Collection of Voter Registration Forms
If you wish to become a voter in an area, go to the office of the election commission in the upazila of your choice. The officer responsible for NID card applications can provide you with the new form. There is a new voter registration form called (Form-II). As shown below, the voter registration form will look like this.
Each form has its own unique number. Using this number, you can get your ID card later. It is not permitted to photocopy a form photo. The form number will remain the same if you copy the photo. For each serial number, only one form can be submitted
Voter Registration Forms Should be Filled Out
When the new ID card application form is collected from the Upazila Election Commission office, it must be filled out with the correct information. The voter registration form cannot be photocopied and used. Take a copy of the new voter form. A form can only be used once.
There is no chance to correct any mistakes. Forms should not be cut. You can cancel a form if one is incorrectly entered for any reason, and use the other if you have two copies of the same form. Based on my own experience.
Documents and Application Form Submission

Provide Biometric Information and Take Photographs
A responsible officer will verify your application form and submitted documents once it is submitted to the upazila. Your picture will be uploaded if everything is okay. The taking of photos, fingerprints, and eye retinas are currently notified through SMS on mobile phones.
To take a photo of the voter ID card and provide biometric information, go to the Upazila Election Office. You will have your photo scanned, 10 fingerprints scanned, and your retina scanned. When you provide these biometric information, your application will be sent to the NID Server for approval.
Download National Identity Card
Applicants must visit the Election Office to take a photograph and provide biometric data to obtain a new National Identity Card, whether applying online or offline. It will take 15 to 21 days from the time of taking the photograph and fingerprints for the application to be approved if all the information on the application form and the documents submitted are correct.
A message will be sent to your mobile number once your voter registration application has been approved. You will be asked to download your National Identity Card either online or from the Election Office once your application has been approved.
